“Case study: An infant’s inability to breast-feed”.
This study discusses the inability of a three week old girl to breast feed due to apparent pain. The child also had colic, flatulence and experienced outbursts of crying. These symptoms had all been present since birth. The child was assessed and a spinal dysfunction was found.
The author comments “we suspected that his posture in-utero was the primary contributing factor to the child’s physical asymmetry and subluxation pattern”.

By the fourth week of adjustments the baby began to breast feed from both breasts normally.

And another study which clearly demonstrates that chiropractic may make a difference to children suffering with breast feeding difficulties.
