Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
“The effect of utilizing spinal manipulation and craniosacral therapy as the treatment approach for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.”
This is the case study of a ten year old boy with a three year history of hyperactivity. He also was suffering from ear infections, headaches and allergies.
Chiropractic analysis revealed multiple spinal and pelvic subluxations.
By the eleventh chiropractic adjustment the hyperactivity symptoms had abated. In addition to this the ear infections, headaches and allergy symptoms had also resolved.
After being relatively symptom free for five and a half months he suffered two falls. As a result of these falls the hyperactivity, the headaches and the allergy symptoms returned.
One chiropractic visit again resolved the presenting symptoms.
The study concluded that there was a “A strong link between spinal “dysfunctions” and hyperactivity”.

Another case study which clearly demonstrates that chiropractic may make a difference to children with ADHD. In addition to this the study also addresses the improvement in the child’s ear infections, headaches and allergies as a result of the chiropractic care.
